ABOUT
TOKYO SOUND CONTINUUM is a hands-on, international development program for songwriters and producers, supported by the Japan Creator Support Fund—established within the Japan Arts Council through subsidies from the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan.
At its core, the program is built around real-world studio collaboration and creative cadence—the sound, energy, and pace at which globally competitive records are actually made. World-class producers, songwriters, and artists work directly with emerging Japanese songwriters, artists, and producers through active writing and recording sessions. Participants don't study the process from the outside; they learn by creating inside it—feeling the rhythm of sessions, decision-making, and iteration that shape modern hit records.
TOKYO SOUND CONTINUUM captures what is happening now in Japan's creative scene—current sounds, local energy, and authentic perspectives—and applies an international, A-list creative filter to elevate that work for global audiences. The focus is on building records that are culturally relevant, commercially viable, and capable of resonating worldwide.
Beyond a single songwriting camp, the program is intentionally designed to build both an ecosystem and a community. By working alongside global industry leaders, participants gain access to an international creative and business network and are exposed to the standards, expectations, and best practices behind successful global releases. This immersion helps creators understand how opportunities are formed and how long-term careers are built around hit-making ambition.
More than a one-off initiative, TOKYO SOUND CONTINUUM is a growing international platform originating in Japan—designed to connect Japanese creators to a sustained global network, expand opportunity through relationships, and align local talent with the realities of today's global music landscape.
FLOW
This program is structured over a three-year period. In the first year, an international co-writing camp will be held in Tokyo from March 23 to March 27, 2026. In the second and third years, the program will shift its base overseas, with participants engaging in music creation within international markets.
Furthermore, the program will include business workshops, as well as support for international expansion and career development. Further details of the program will be announced progressively.
